Meet the Parson

My name is Sean and I’ve been passionate about fountain pens since I received my first one as a gift back in 1989. It was a black Waterman Laureat that still writes as beautifully today is it did then.  That’s the goal I have with vintage fountain pens, too. I want to take the old, tired, and worn out writing instruments from the early to mid-20th century, and restore them to their original writing glory! It is incredibly rewarding to breathe new life into an amazing piece of writing history!

Why the “Portly Parson”? Well, i’ve been a pastor for the past 30 years, and, well, I carry a little extra weight in the middle, too! Both “portly” and “parson” are rather “old-timey” terms, so it just seemed to fit this work all the way around.

Thanks so much for checking out my site, If you have any questions, want to buy a pen or two, or just want to talk all things fountain pens, please drop me a line at seankidd1970@gmail.com.
